Women's Day of Praise & Prayer

Second Friday of the month - 10:00-11:30am - Campus Library

On the second Friday of each month, women of the church come together in prayer and praise for the leaders, ministries, and needs of Valley Church along with prayer for our community and nation. All women are welcome to join this prayer group, the focus of women's ministry.

The Women's Day of Praise & Prayer began 17 years ago as a day of prayer and fasting at Valley Church. It has grown to many small prayer groups, including our Women's Prayer Chain. Please join us as we worship and bring our prayers and praise to our Heavenly Father.

Senior Women's Fellowship

Third Sunday of every other month (odd months) - 12:30-3:00pm - Campus Center

Our single women's luncheon meets the third Sunday of every other month (odd months) in the Campus Center and provides fellowship, connection, prayer, assistance, and encouragement for all single women 50 and over. This encouragement ministry touches the lives of widows, never married and divorced women with the love of Christ and the fellowship of sisters. Laughter is mandatory at every meeting.

  • Who: Moms and moms-to-be and their babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.
  • What: A monthly moms' group meeting - where moms and kids can gather together and have fun playing, singing, having a Bible focus time as well as a time for moms to encourage and share experiences and prayer requests with one another.
  • Where: Valley Church in Cupertino, Room 205, Building 200 (Room 205 is the two-year-olds Sunday School classroom). The Valley Church campus also has two playground areas.
Directions to Valley Church are available here; see the Valley Church Campus Map here.

Saving G.R.A.C.E. — Moms Gathering for Rejuvenation And Christ-centered Encouragement

December 1 - 9:30am-12:00pm - Campus Center

Saving G.R.A.C.E. is a way for Valley Church to show moms of children 5 and under how much we value them and desire to encourage them. Loving childcare is provided during the quarterly events, so moms can relax and enjoy a simple breakfast while fellowshipping with one another in God's grace.

Mark your calendars! The next event will be on December 1st from 9:30am-12:00pm.

In addition to the food and fellowship, we're also planning some swanky yet thrifty Christmas decorating crafts.

We look forward to seeing you there. Please contact the church office if you have any questions or want more information.

Women Helping Women

Women Helping Women (WHW) is a ministry of women at Valley Church who have been called to become trained listeners for other women in the church who need a confidential place to talk about various problems. See our cards (86KB pdf) for more about this ministry.

The WHW listeners have learned and practiced various listening skills for over three years. This is not counseling, but a listening ministry. They serve women in the congregation (or even outside of Valley Church) who may benefit from the encouragement of these listeners.

If you are a woman who might need or want this kind of support, you can call Marion Noble to be matched with a listener. The number of meetings may range from 2 to 12, but may be extended according to the need.

Divorce Recovery Support Information

It is the desire of Valley Church to help women cope with the process and aftermath of divorce by directing them to divorce ministries in their area that will enable them to move from hurt to wholeness. For information on a support group in your area, contact the church office by phone.

For more information on any of the above, contact Mimi Moseley by phone or e-mail.
