Sharing the Good News

By some estimates, more than 2 billon people still have not heard the gospel. More than 2,000 languages have yet to have a translation of even one New Testament book. Of the $12 trillion dollars Christians around the world make annually, only 1.7 percent is given to Christian causes and only 1.3 percent of that 1.7 percent goes to missions.

Abysmal as those statistics may seem, God's church is still growing. And Valley Church is grateful for the opportunity God has given us to be part of that effort. Since our inception in 1959, we've added two missionary families per year to our support list. Many come from our own church family. Missions Leadership

The missions program is under the leadership of our Missions Committee. Our missionary support is supplied by designated "MISSION/FAITH PROMISE" giving, and is completely separate from our general budget. One hundred percent of giving to our missions budget goes to missionaries and mission agencies.

Caring for Missionaries

One of the ways our congregation becomes actively involved with missions is by supporting a missionary as their representative. These representatives help keep the Valley Church body updated on current happenings & prayer requests from their missionaries by maintaining a consistent communication with them. There are several monthly missionary prayer meetings to pray for specific missionaries and ministries.
