Navigate the High School Years with Community

High School

High school is a pivotal season of change. Your student can ask big questions, find authentic friends, and discover what it means to follow Jesus with us.

Uncover Your True Identity

Whether you are wrestling with tough questions about faith or just looking for a place to belong, you have a home here. We help students take a break from performance pressure and discover that their true identity and strength is found in Jesus, not in achievements. Connect your faith to every part of life in a space that welcomes the hard topics.

What To Expect

A Friday Night Worth Waiting For

Friday Night Youth Group

Friday nights are the main event. It is the place to disconnect from the stress of school and reconnect with friends and God.

When: Fridays, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Where: Activity Center (Building 5)
Who: Grades 9–12

The Experience

Students experience high-energy games and dynamic worship. The night centers on a biblical message that respects their intelligence and meets them exactly where they are. It is a space to have fun and encounter Jesus in a real community. Everyone is welcome.

Go Deeper

Sunday Growth Hour

Faith is not just emotional; it is intellectual. On Sunday mornings, your student digs into theology and the hard questions that come with living out faith in a modern world.

When: Sundays, 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM
Where: Activity Center (Building 5)

Focus

This is not a surface-level chat. The conversation explores how Christianity engages with science and culture to answer the big issues of life. Your student is encouraged to bring their brain and their doubts.

Start Your Sunday Here

Sunday Morning

Before the main service begins, your student has a place to connect. Join us during the 9:30 AM “Growth Hour” to process faith in a smaller, focused setting.

When: Sundays, 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM
Where: Student Center (Building 6)

Format

Students break into gender-specific Life Groups. This discussion-based format gives your student a safe environment to share life, ask honest questions, and grow alongside peers and mentors.

Real Friends. Real Talk.

Sunday Night Life Groups

Your student was not meant to navigate these years alone. Life Groups are where acquaintances become close friends and adult leaders become trusted mentors.

When: Sunday Nights, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Fall–Spring)
Where: Various Locations (Check for details)

The Vibe

Guys and girls meet in separate groups organized by grade. It is a safe space to share what is actually going on and pray for each other. Together, they figure out what it looks like to follow Jesus on a Tuesday, not just a Sunday.

Go Beyond the Weekend

Enrichment & Service

Your student has gifts to develop and opportunities to serve right now.

Serve the Church

They do not have to wait until they are adults to lead. Students can join the tech team or serve in kids’ ministry. There are also plenty of ways to help with events.

Sports Ministry

Valley has a strong sports culture. Encourage your teen to join a tennis clinic or hit the sand volleyball courts. They are also welcome to just come hang out.
